Three courageous apprentices from Lantei Compliance Services in Preston took part in an 11,000ft free fall parachute skydive on Sunday 23rd April at the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham, Lancaster to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice.

Lantei Compliance Services are a local Preston firm established during 2010 by Anthony and Leona Smith. Since then, Lantei have grown into a nation wide contractor, working with small local companies to large multinationals. Lantei have supported various charities in the past and also raised money for local communities in the PR post code.

Eleanor Kirton, Eden Stafford and Henry Booth had a minimum target of £395 to raise for St Catherine’s Hospice. The company are challenging all their employees to undertake some fundraising activities to support the charity and the team are rising to the challenge.

Eleanor Kirton, Digital Marketing Apprentice explains:

“We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to take part in the skydive. It has been an experience to cross off our bucket lists”

Henry Booth, Business Development Apprentice expresses:

“St Catherine’s is a Lancashire charity that do a fantastic job at providing high quality care to those facing life-shortening illnesses. It is a hospice close to many people within the region”

Eden Stafford, Operations Apprentice states:

“The skydive will be a memory that will last a lifetime, even though we were all nervous, we did it! We have gained several generous sponsors and we are so pleased that we have done it for a great cause”

Emma Jacovelli, fundraiser at St Catherine’s Hospice, said:

“Lantei’s staff have been so supportive of St Catherine’s since announcing us as their Charity of the Year in September 2016. It’s brilliant that their apprentices are keen to get involved and have reached new heights for the hospice by taking on our skydive challenge!”

The Lantei team have a range of fundraising activities in the pipeline to raise even more money for St Catherine’s Hospice. These fundraisers include a Smartphone Quiz Night, a Ladies Night pamper evening and a gruelling trek up Mount Kilimanjaro.

It is not too late to support the trio via Just Giving. St Catherine's Hospice is the only adult hospice serving the communities of Chorley, Longridge, Preston and South Ribble. They care for patients at home, in the community and at the hospice through a variety of high quality service.
