Preston Guild City

City Centre North

We have a bold vision for regeneration in this major area of Preston city centre as City Centre North becomes transformed over the next few years.

We have a bold vision for regeneration in this major area of Preston city centre as City Centre North becomes transformed over the next few years. As home to some of the city’s finest assets, such as the Harris Museum & Art Gallery, Preston Guild Hall, our superb market and historic market canopies and the twentieth century brutalist Preston Bus Station, the area has the potential to become one of the most striking pieces of cityscape in Lancashire and the country.

With these and other great assets, enhanced by innovative but sensitive new development, City Centre North will become one of the premier destinations in Lancashire and the North West.

This vision will be delivered through a number of distinct but coordinated investments inter-linked by an upgraded public realm. Development projects such as the new Preston Market, remodelling and refurbishment of Preston bus station and the private sector investment into Preston Guild Hall will contribute to a major overhaul of the area that is long overdue.
