Nepal Earthquake Appeal screening: Manakamana (U)

They Eat Culture’s Cinema around the Corner Presents Manakamana (2013)

Thanks to our good friends at Dogwoof Documentary Film Distribution, we are hosting a screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, Manakamana. All proceeds will go to the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.

Set in Nepal, Manakamana documents the different people getting on and off a cable car on their journey to a Nepalese temple. Slow burning and not for the impatient, Manakamana documents the tiny intricacies of the smallest human moments whilst meditating on the process of making a pilgrimage.

To celebrate our newly formed film club, we want to take this opportunity to raise money for a very tragic cause whilst also providing those who attend with a unique cinematic experience. So come along and see some meditative, artistic world cinema whilst giving to a very worthy cause.
