Weaving Workshops

Join artist Caroline Finnigan in creating your own personal weaving loom with the opportunity to contribute to creating a giant loom which will be displayed in the market.

Made out of card discarded from the market, the looms will be ready and waiting for you to weave the variety of materials salvaged from the markets recycling into whatever pattern you like. Once you have finished your own loom choose your favourite material and weave it into the big loom!

Some of the materials available for you to weave with will include;

  • plastic bags
  • baseball cap
  • various fabrics
  • posters
  • egg boxes
  • traditional and modern yarns

You can also bring materials you have at home to weave with if you like!

The workshop not only gives you the opportunity to create something of your own to take home but also highlights through recycling what can be created by materials that are usually just thrown away.

The workshop is free and there’s no need to book just drop in!
