Connected City Network event: Routes In, Routes Out

The Connected City Network presents a discussion between artist Gavin Renshaw and cycling journalist/presenter of The Bike Show Jack Thurston.

The Connected City Network is a series of conversation events as part of the Connected City programme of artworks.

Join Gavin Renshaw and Jack Thurston in their discussion where they will address topics such as:

  • How do we navigate a city and decipher the urban landscape by bike?
  • How can we map a city and provide all the information cyclists need?
  • What are the unique experiences cycling in a city can give us?

Gavin Renshaw and Jack Thurston will shape their discussion around their experiences after a night ride of Preston and its surroundings the night before the event. They will reflect on cycling in both urban and rural areas of Lancashire, their shared interests in cycling infrastructure and ideas about using cycling to find routes in and out of the city.

Taking place in the Avenham Park Pavilion, this is a free event with refreshments provided. There will also be time for the audience to contribute and ask their own questions.
