Streets of Change: Beattie's Preston & Beyond
Explore Preston's lost streets and buildings.
Through a collection of Edwin Beattie watercolours and a giant Victorian map, you can discover Preston's lost buildings and streets.
Beattie (1845-1917) was a local artist who painted Preston at a time when the old town centre was being swept away to make way for new buildings like the Harris Museum. This exhibition offers you the chance to share your memories in a interactive display space and see how contemporary artists and photographers are recording the changes in Preston a century after Beattie's death.
This exhibition is open to the public at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery between 30 September - 26 November.
