Beacon Fell Country Park
Boasting 271 acres of beautiful woodland with awesome views over the Forest of Bowland and Morecambe Bay from the summit...
Beacon Fell Country Park is one of the oldest in the country, designed in 1970.
Located 10 miles outside Preston and signposted from Garstang and Longridge - it is a wildlife haven of woodland, moorland and farmland attracting a mix of animals from rabbits and hare to roe deer, stout and weasels.. There are even as many as 11 species of dragonflies, which can be seen hovering over ponds during the warmer seasons.
With its well-maintained paths, quirky sculptures, stunning views from the 266m summit across the Forest of Bowland, relaxed picnic areas and visitor centre with café, it makes a great place to visit for both individuals and families looking for something to do outdoors.
