Creative writing inspired by Archives

Take part in some history-inspired creative writing...

In 2019 the Lancashire Archives are marking the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo massacre with a new creative writing project.

Develop your own creative responses to a wonderful range of relevant original archive material. Read the congratulations to magistrate William Hulton for his decisive actions on the day of the protest, alongside the arguments of "Orator" Henry Hunt who the crowd had gathered to hear.

All abilities are welcome. The event will be led by Dr Naomi Kruger, Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Central Lancashire.

How to book

This event is free, however, booking is needed. To book your place online visit Eventbrite - Creative Writing Inspired by Archives.
