Preston Guild Hall Redevelopments
Currently undergoing extensive redevelopments to become a major destination for arts, culture, entertainment and leisure...
Preston Guild Hall and Charter Theatre is already home to a 2750 capacity concert hall and 716 capacity theatre. In addition to re-establishing the events programme for both these venues, the current owner has invested in restaurants and coffee shop on the ground floor of the Guild Hall. Furthermore, the Grand Hall Foyer has undergone a major refurbishment to create a brand new multifunctional space know as LiVe!
The original balcony has also been modernised with a purpose-built indoor/outdoor terrace area. This addition provides guests with stunning views of the surrounding Grade 1 listed buildings and architecture, such as the Harris Museum, whilst they dine and also boasts a retractable roof canopy for the summer months!
A unique multi functional events space opened late 2017, Level comprises;
- 10 pin bowling alley
- nine-hole crazy golf
- karaoke booths
- laser tag
- daredevil assault course
- sports bar and dining room
This project also involved the creation of a brand new entrance to Preston Guild Hall from Lord Street ensuring the complex was accessible to all as well as providing a more direct entrance from the bus station.
Planning permission has also been granted for a 105 bedroom aparthotel in Guild Tower currently leased to the Department of Work and Pensions. The aparthotel will also feature a casino, spa and gym. This £10 million scheme will be called Villa Urban and will complement the Guild Hall’s role as a leisure destination.
