Narrative of Mental Health: Past, Present and Future...

'Asylum - Narrative of Mental Health: Past, Present and Future' includes selected artworks from the 2018 'Whittingham Lives: Hidden Histories - Alternative Futures' exhibition. The exhibition explored the history and legacy of Preston's Whittingham Asylum; from its opening in 1873 to its demolition in 2016.

The Asylum exhibition further examines historical, social, and cultural issues around mental health and care through clothing, textiles, sculpture, painting, photography, poetry, and language.
