This year's Easter in Preston is packed with events and activities for the whole family to enjoy. From giant eggs with a giant hen at the annual Egg Rolling to a vegan tea party, there's plenty for all to get involved in.

Hunt for the giant #PrestonEgg - Preston city centre

Tuesday 20 March - Saturday 31 March

Make a day of it in Preston city centre and search for our four giant colourful egg sculptures as they return for 2018. Why not snap a selfie and share on social media using #PrestonEgg *

You will find the four giant eggs in the following locations:

  • St George's Shopping Centre
  • The Harris Museum & Art Gallery
  • Preston Market Hall
  • Brockholes Nature Reserve

Come along to Egg Rolling on Easter Monday in Avenham & Miller Parks to see all four giant eggs together, along with a very special guest - Mother Hen, made by artist Kerith Ogden.

Egg decorating workshops - The Harris

Saturday 24 March - Thursday 29 March

Get creative and help decorate an aluminium egg with local artist Sarah Hicks. These will be proudly displayed at the annual Egg Rolling event on Easter Monday. 

All equipment is provided, so just turn up and decorate.

Easter Xplorer - Haslam Park, Worden Park and Avenham & Miller Parks

Monday 26 March - Thursday 5 April

Xplorer is a family navigational challenge, both fun and educational. At each marker, young children can identify what the picture is or the older children can challenge themselves by answering a themed question.

Dear Zoo - Preston Guild Hall

Friday 30 March - Saturday 31 March

Perfectly timed for the Easter holidays, see this timeless children's classic book in its stage premiere. Suitable for children ages 2 years and upwards.

Vegan afternoon tea party - Vex Vegan Cookery School

Saturday 31 March, 1pm - 3pm

Try something a bit different this Easter with a vegan afternoon tea party for all the family. There will also be themed games, an egg hunt and cakes... What more could you ask for?

Egg Rolling - Avenham & Miller Parks

Monday 2 April, 11am - 4pm

The well-known tradition of egg rolling is once again taking place in Avenham and Miller Parks on Easter Monday. Find your spot on the hill, bring your eggs and get rolling.

There will also be plenty of other activities taking place across the day, including live music, street theatre and fairground rides. So pack your eggs, Easter bonnet and enjoy your family day out.

From tours and crafts to meeting the Easter Bunny, there's entertainment for everyone outside of Preston's city centre.

Brockholes Nature Reserve

Tuesday 20 March - Sunday 8 April

Brockholes have a packed events schedule including Easter wreath making, meet the Easter bunny and their holiday club.
